Headline Photo Illustrations
Since highschool, I was obsessed with reading editorial print magazines and watching news stories that relied on visual graphics, motion graphics, and infographics to highlight an overlooked narrative or news story. I’d binge-watch Vox’s Explained series (my favorite episode is "Explained" Billionaires, 2019), Rotten, Broken, Dirty Money (Netflix Originals), Great Big Story, and binge-read issues from The Atlantic.
These imagined illustrations for news articles are an ode to my love for visual-storytelling to educate and inform the masses. Imagery employs bold color palettes and emphasis on main character or conflict in the article.
